Permission for a 79-unit apartment development has been sought in Waterford city.

The application has been submitted to the planning department of Waterford Council by Noel Frisby Construction Ltd.

The development is intended for the Deerpark area of Waterford on the Outer Ring Road in Williamstown.

The 79 apartments are to be divided into 3 blocks.

Block D will be 4 to 5 storeys high comprising of 34 one, two, and three bedroom apartment units.

Block E is intended to be 3 to 4 storeys high containing 21 apartments.

The final Block is a four storey building containing 24 one and two bedroom apartments.

As part of the application, vehicular access is sought from the existing Deerpark residential development.

Additionally, permission for solar pv panels at roof level is sought.

A submission period regarding the proposed development is open for the next five weeks.
