Status Yellow Warning extended with low-temperature warning to take effect this evening

Met Eireann says icy stretches, sleet, and snow will remain throughout the day, including here in Waterford.

A Status Yellow snow/ice warning which was due to be lifted at 12pm has been extended for the entire country until 7pm.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care following heavy snowfalls.

Flurries have affected routes in many parts of the country, including Waterford, Dublin, Galway and Monaghan.

The forecaster has also issued a Status Yellow low-temperature warning, which will take effect from 7pm and run until 10 tomorrow morning.
