A virtual event is continuing in Waterford to mark World Suicide Prevention Week.
The organisers of the Donal O'Connor Memorial Cycle have re-imagined this year's event.
They're asking people to do 15 minutes of an activity you enjoy, share a photo on social media with the hashtag #15minutesforsuicideprevention and if possible, to donate €4 to Waterford Marine Search and Rescue.
Mags O'Connor set up the cycle in 2012 in memory of her husband Donal who died by suicide. She wants people to take 15 minutes for themselves.
"In order to make the event as inclusive as possible, it will be open to all activities; from walking to running, swimming to cycling, reading to rowing, yoga to meditation and everything in between."
Mags O'Connor says Waterford Marine Search & Rescue rely on volunteers to provide their service
"This completely voluntary group run suicide patrols in Waterford and operate an extensive search & rescue service.
"Their life-saving services are needed now more than ever as we face into a long Winter during a global pandemic."
To donate €4 to Waterford Marine Search & Rescue text WMSAR to 50300.
The Donal O'Connor Memorial Cycle team are also sharing information all week on how to mind your mental health, as well as information about the supports that are available and how to access them.
