Primary school choirs from all over Munster are performing in Waterford this weekend.

They’re taking part in Peace Proms with the Cross Border Orchestra (CBOI) at the WIT Arena.

The CBOI was established in 1995 as a peace initiative and is composed of over 100 exceptionally talented young musicians from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Peace Proms is a choral education programme in which over 30,000 primary school children from all over the country participate annually.

The first of four sold out Waterford shows took place this afternoon.
