Planning permission has been granted by Waterford City and County Council for an additional 21 rooms at the Park Hotel Dungarvan.

Permission was initially sought on May 27th for an additional 21 rooms – which would bring the hotel’s capacity up to a total of 107 bedrooms while the hotel also offers 15 self-catering holiday homes that can equip up to 5 adults.

Planning permission was granted by the local authority on July 21st – subject to four conditions.

The news comes amid growing demand for hotel accommodation in West Waterford – as a site with planning permission for an 85-bed hotel entered the market last week.
