Over 100 adults accessing emergency accommodation in Waterford

Over 100 adults were accessing emergency accommodation in Waterford in August.

That's according to the latest data from the Department of Housing.

The figures show that 314 adults were accessing emergency accommodation in the South-East.

Waterford had the largest number in the region at 102.

This is followed by 68 in Wexford, 61 in Tipperary, 42 in Kilkenny and 41 in Carlow.

The majority were aged between 25 and 44.

There were 62 families accessing emergency accommodation in the South-East, a figure which includes 83 adults and 118 child dependents.
