There’s bad news for Trick or Treaters today as an Orange weather warning has been issued for Waterford.

The alert for heavy rain is the latest in a string of such warnings over the last fortnight.

There are concerns the county could experience more localised flooding, as it did after the last orange weather warning on Thursday night.

A number of areas along the N72 near Dungarvan were particularly affected and had to be closed for a time.

Today’s warning is in effect from 12 noon until 5 o’clock this evening, with Cork, Tipperary and Kilkenny also included.

A Yellow alert for rain will then be in place for the whole country until midnight tonight.
