A person has been seriously injured in an assault in Tramore.
It happened at the Clarinwood Roundabout in the town.
The victim has been taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries while another has been arrested and is being held in Tramore Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The assault happened just after 11 o'clock.

There are diversions in place as the road is closed for a technical examination.
