A second series of ITV’s Tour de Fred will return this weekend.

In the first series,  restaurateur and broadcaster Fred Sirieix visited Northern Ireland.

This time round, Fred is exploring Waterford, Cork and Wexford for the new series, called Tour de Fred – Part Deux.

The series is supported by Tourism Ireland’s International Programming Ireland Fund and Irish Ferries.

Among the locations he visits is Mount Congreve, offering a unique glimpse into the estate’s sustainable approach to growing and cooking.

Fred Sirieix’s visit to the estate will be broadcast on ITV and ITVX on Sunday, January 11th, at 11:30 am.

Sirieix was welcomed by Estate Director Ray Sinnott in the iconic Walled Garden.

He says he was captivated by Chef JB Dubois’s approach to food.

“I have never – and I’m not lying to you – seen a chef cook like that,” he said.

“There was no transformation to the product – it was raw produce, very little cooking, and he was using and reusing everything.”

For viewers in the Republic of Ireland, the programme will be available on select Saorview boxes and Sky TV packages.
