Five local organisations from Waterford were today announced as County Finalists in the National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2024.
Initiatives recognised include Enhance; who work to bring the benefits of Internet and computer technologies to people on the margins of Irish society, Oasis Housing Association; a provider of 24-7 refuge and specialised support for women and children subjected to domestic abuse and/or homelessness in Waterford City & County. Realta (formerly Waterford Healing Arts Trust). Manor Street Youth & Community Centre; a meeting point for Waterford’s diverse communities & Carbally Community Development Project.
The awards aim to honour, showcase, and celebrate the inspiring work being carried out nationwide by thousands of projects, clubs, and individuals who have received support from Good Causes funding.
Nearly 30 cents of every euro spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes all over the country.
