A multi-agency operation was launched in Waterford city centre earlier today.
It was in response to reports of a man in difficulty on The Quay.
Emergency services, which included Waterford City River Rescue, Gardaí and members of the Fire Service and National Ambulance Service, attended the scene at approximately 11am.
Assistance was provided to the young man and the operation was successfully concluded by 11.10am.
