A multi-agency operation commenced in Dungarvan earlier this afternoon.
Gardai, emergency services, fire services, the Coast Guard and the RNLI were among those tasked at the scene in the Dungarvan Harbour area.
Part of Davitts' Quay had been blocked to traffic from the Causeway Bridge Roundabout to the entrance to the Garvey's SuperValu car park.

A helicopter landed in Walton Park area and WLR News understands one person has been transferred to hospital having entered the water at the Harbour.
The person has been brought by air ambulance to University Hospital Waterford.
