Mr. Price is set to open a store at Lisduggan Shopping Centre in Waterford, bringing the centre back to a 100% occupancy rate and creating 30 new jobs in the process.

The news was confirmed to WLR this morning by Garreth McCarthy of GMC Auctioneers.

The retailers have agreed a long lease on a 15,000 sq. foot store – incorporating the former Lifestyle Sports and Heatons Department stores.

“This is a project I’ve been working on since 2017 and for many reasons from Covid-19 and many other challenges we had to deal with along the way – I am delighted to have gotten this deal over the line for all involved”, said McCarthy.
“It is understood works will commence immediately by Mr.Price and I believe a store of this size will represent around 30 new jobs in the area which is very welcome news. This deal now sees the centre 100% occupied again which is fantastic for the centre and the shoppers alike given the current challenges we face with retail across not only Ireland but Europe as well with the surge in online shopping”, he added.
Mr. Price currently operate stores in the Kingsmeadow Retail Park in Waterford City as well as in Ferrybank. This will be their third store in Waterford, while they also operate outlets in both Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel.
