A Status Yellow rain and wind warning remains in place for Waterford until 11pm tonight as Storm Chandra continues to bring heavy rain and strong winds across the county.
Met Éireann says has warned that persistent rainfall on already saturated ground, combined with gusty conditions, may lead to localised flooding.
Road closures have been confirmed in parts of the County throughout the day, including the R709 Inner Ring Road near Supervalu, with motorists in the area advised to avoid the road if possible.

Other road closures around Waterford include the closure of the Cooltegin Road L8057, which was closed due to fallen tree. Local diversions have been put in place for those affected in the area.
The public is advised to avoid unnecessary travel, never drive through flooded roads, and stay away from coastal areas while conditions remain hazardous.
