Gardaí have confirmed that Marcin Suchowiecki, who was reported missing from the Gracedieu area of Waterford, has been located safe and well.

The 28-year-old had been the subject of a public missing person appeal after he went missing earlier this month.

Gardaí thanked the media and members of the public for their assistance during the search.

Public Appeal Issued Earlier This Month

Gardaí launched the appeal after Marcin was reported missing from his home in Gracedieu, Waterford, on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

They confirmed that he had last been seen leaving his home at approximately 4pm on Tuesday, January 6.

At the time of the appeal, Gardaí described Marcin as approximately six feet tall, with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers said they and Marcin’s family held serious concerns for his wellbeing, which prompted an active search and public appeal.

Following his safe recovery, An Garda Síochána issued a statement thanking those who shared information and assisted during the appeal.
