The Irish Coast Guard have been requested to assist Waterford Gardaí in the search for missing Waterford man Mark Myler, who has not been seen in a number of days.
38-year-old Mark Myler was last seen in the early hours of Wednesday, 4th December 2024 in the John’s Street area of Waterford city.
Mark is described as being approximately 6 foot 2 inches in height, of slim build, with blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a blue padded jacket with blue jeans.
Gardaí and Mark’s family are concerned for his well-being.
The Coast Guard search will be lead by the Dunmore East unit assisted by flank stations members from Tramore Bonmahon and specialist drone teams from Ardmore and Kilmore Quay - along with coast guard asset Waterford City River Rescue - will focus on the River Suir over the coming days.
A Coast Guard Spokesperson has asked for land owners and walkers along the Suir both up stream and downstream to be vigilant while in the area and report anything unusual to the Irish Coast Guard or An Garda Siochana on 112/999.
The search will also involve Waterford based search and rescue helicopter, Rescue 117, over the coming days.
