Gardaí are appealing for information after a man with learning disabilities was forced to withdraw cash from an ATM in Waterford City Centre.
The incident occurred at approximately 1.50pm on Tuesday last, January 14th, when the 21-year-old man was walking up John Street.
As he neared the Centra store, he was stopped by a man and woman he did not know.
They demanded cash from the man and then walked to an ATM opposite the Kazbar and forced him to withdraw a sum of money.
The man is described as a white man, around 27-years-old, with brown hair, facial hair on his chin, 5ft 9in in height, chubby build, wearing a light black jacket and black tracksuit.
The woman is described as a white woman, around 25-years-old, with blonde hair, 5ft 8in in height, with distinctive eyebrows. She was wearing a cream white jacket with no sleeves.
Gardaí at Waterford Crime Unit are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have observed this incident to contact them on 051 303500 or use the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
