Emergency services are at the scene of a collision between a car and a motorcycle at the Sacred Heart Church in the city.
WLR understands the motorcyclist's condition is serious, and has been taken to UHW to receive treatment for his injuries.
Gardaí have advised that the Roundabout on the Folly up to the Tennis Court will be closed for a number of hours.
