A man has been charged in relation to an aggravated burglary which took place in Tramore in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was arrested on Sunday following the incident, which took place at a residence close to the ladies slip area of the town.
A woman received treatment in hospital for injuries sustained in the incident.
The arrested man was brought before Waterford District Court yesterday afternoon and was remanded in custody to appear again at a later date.
Gardai say their investigations are continuing.
