A man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Waterford on Monday.
A man in his 40s was shot a number of times outside a shop on the Carrickpherish Road at 2:15pm on December 23rd.
He remains in a critical condition at University Hospital Waterford.
A man in his 30s appeared before a special sitting of Waterford District Court today where he was charged with possession of a firearm and with intent to endanger life.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the court again on January 2nd, 2020.
Two people who were also arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge and files are being prepared for the DPP.
