A man in his 30's is being questioned over the murder of Ian Baitson in Cobh last week.
He was detained overnight after armed Gardaí carried out a raid on a premises in Capppoquin, Co. Waterford.
Gardaí had been conducting searches over the past week, in their hunt for a suspect in the alleged assault in Cobh on Friday 15th of March.
Ian Baitson died after being brought to Cork University Hospital with a serious wound to his leg, after being attacked with a sword or machete-type weapon at a service station forecourt.
