Gardaí arrested a man following reports of an incident of criminal damage at a hotel in Dungarvan, County Waterford, on Friday last, March 8th.
The man, aged in his 30s, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in County Waterford.
He has since been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Video footage of recent disorder at the Clonea Strand Hotel, Dungarvan has been widely circulated on social media.
