
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N24 at Cahir, Co. Tipperary, this morning (Sunday).
The collision, involving a motorcycle and a van, occurred at approximately 11.05am.
The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported.
The road remains closed at this time to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10.45am and 11.15am this morning, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
