A man in his 50s has been charged in relation to a seizure of cocaine worth €5.25 million in Co Monaghan on Friday.
He is due to appear before a sitting of Monaghan District Court on Monday at 10:30am.
A woman in her 40s who was previously arrested has been released without charge.
Subsequently, a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau.
It was supported by the Custom Revenue Service, and local Units in Monaghan.
Also drafted in were international partners from the Belgian Federal Maritime Police.
The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
