Gardaí are continuing to investigate the assault that occurred on O’Connell Street and Cathal Brugha Street in Dublin on Sunday, June 23rd.
The man, aged in his 40s, who was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during this incident, has died.
To date, four men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Two of the men have been charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice.
Investigations are ongoing.
