A man in his 30s, arrested following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred shortly after 1:30 am on Saturday at Ballynamona, Kinsale, Co. Cork, has been released without charge.
The passenger of the car died in the incident.
A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The road at Ballynamona has fully reopened to traffic following a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling in the Ballynamona area between 1:15 am and 1:45 am are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
