Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the N76 at Kilcash Cross, Co. Tipperary which occurred yesterday, Friday 11th April 2025.
The incident, involving a car and a ride-on lawnmower, occurred at approximately 9.50 pm.

A man, aged in his 30s, travelling on the ride-on lawnmower, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

There were no other injuries reported.

The road remains closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators this morning. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area on the N76 between 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

It now brings the number to 46 the amount of people who have died on our roads so far this year.

In 2024, there were 174 road fatalities in the Republic of Ireland, a 4% decrease from 181 deaths in 2023 .​
