Major traffic delays of up to 40 minutes in some areas have been reported across Waterford City this evening.
A traffic incident in Kilcohan, coupled with roadworks at the Farronshooneen and Dock Road in Ferrybank, is leaving people with little choice when it comes to alternative routes.
It is understood the roadworks across the city are expected to run into the coming months, with the development of the North Quays project.
