Planning permission sought to change use of former Loko restaurant

Planning permission has been sought for a change of use at the property where a well-known Waterford City restaurant was located.

Loko Restaurant operated from a prominent unit on the grounds of the Ardkeen Shopping Centre on the Dunmore Road until it closed last year.

Ardkeen Superstores Limited has applied to Waterford City and County Council for permission to subdivide the existing vacant restaurant unit to facilitate the provision of a separate ground floor retail/shop unit facing onto the Dunmore Road.

The works will require a change of use from"restaurant" to "retail shop" for the subdivided area only.
