Voting is now underway for the local and European elections, and Limerick's directly elected Mayor.
In Waterford, 79 candidates are seeking a place on the 32-seat Waterford City and County Council.
Polls opened at 7am and close at 10pm, with people being reminded to bring some form of photo ID when they go to vote.
Across the county, turnout has been reported at around 10-15% so far.
In Dungarvan, turnout stands at 13% as of 12:30pm while it stands at 12% in Passage and 14% in Ferrybank.
Turnout in Tramore stands at 15% at Glor Na Mara, 12.5% at Pond Road and just over 10% of eligible voters have turned out so far at Holy Cross and 11% at the Gaelscoil.
Turnout in Ballybeg is averaging out at 10%, while Kilmacthomas' Rainbow Hall stands at 11%.
Stradbally's turnout stands at around 9% so far, while the figure stands out at 10% at Ballymacarbry Community Centre and 9% in Ballygunner.
The average turnout in County Waterford stood at 51.1% in 2019.
The polls remain open until 10pm this evening.
