There's been a decrease in the amount of people on the live register.
The seasonally adjusted Live Register total for March 2024 was 174,500 people, down by 400 people or 0.2% from February 2024.
When it comes to Waterford, there were 3,164 men and 2,426 women register to be in receipt of social welfare, a total of 5,590.
18,860 people under the age of 25 were on the Live Register in March 2024. This cohort accounted for 10.9% of all claimants.

Over 21 thousand people are benefitting from the EU’s Temporary Protection Directive included in the Register figures for March 2024.
