Uisce Éireann will replace almost three kilometres of ageing water mains in Lismore. The project will cover Deerpark Road and Lismore Bridge. Workers will begin construction in early November and continue into early 2026.
Phased Construction Plan
Crews will focus on Deerpark Road first, from Main Street to Deerpark North. The second phase will take place along the N72, crossing Lismore Bridge, in early 2026. Residents and road users should expect traffic management during construction.
Leakage Reduction Strengthens Supply
Earlier this year, Uisce Éireann repaired leaks across the network and customer-side connections as part of its Leakage Reduction Programme. These fixes reduced water loss and strengthened the town’s water supply.
Benefits for Homes and Businesses
The upgrade will provide a more resilient network, reduce leaks, and prevent interruptions. Local homes and businesses will enjoy a more secure water supply.
Report Leaks Quickly
Residents can report leaks in the public water network by calling Uisce Éireann at 1800 278 278 or using the online Report a Leak service. Timely reporting helps the company maintain reliable water services.
