Planning permission is being sought from Waterford City and County Council for 31 homes in Lemybrien.
Plans were lodged on July 31st by Tom Morrissey Building Contractor.
The proposed development includes the construction of 10 single-storey detached houses. These houses will have either three or four bedrooms.
It also includes 21 two-storey houses. These will be a mix of detached and semi-detached houses, with three or four bedrooms.
A single-storey community care building of 226m² will also be built. This building will have four ensuite bedrooms and one ensuite bedroom for a carer.
The project includes all necessary site development works for the community care building. This includes creating an entrance, a forecourt, car parking, and essential services.
A pedestrian and cycle path will be provided through the new housing estate. This path will lead to the N25 public road at the designated bus stop and will give access to village services from both the GAA Centre and St Anne’s Court housing to the south.
A decision is expected from Waterford City and County Council on or before September 24th of this year.
