A lane reduction on Waterford’s Rice Bridge is set to come into effect this morning.

Waterford City & County Council has advised that it will be place from 10am today (Thursday) until 3.30pm.

The lane reduction will also be in place for the same timeframe tomorrow (Friday).

Waterford Council says the reduction is required for maintenance works.

Meanwhile, emergency services attended a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Bridge Street earlier this morning.

There were reports of significant traffic delays on the Newrath approach to Rice Bridge also during rush hour today.
