Gardaí in Waterford are continuing their investigations after reports of unexplained sexual noises playing near funerals.
The complaints are centred in the village of Kilgobnet, outside Dungarvan.
It's understood unwanted noise can be heard during funerals or other masses at the church.
Locals say it seems as though it's coming from some kind of speaker system, and has upset parishioners - including John, who spoke on Deise Today earlier.
"The church and cemetery there must be centuries old - and it's a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place. We've never had anything like that in Kilgobnet before. It's very upsetting, very disrespectful."
"It's been going on now for quite a while", he explained. "It is upsetting at mass times - and when there's any gathering in the graveyard or people visiting their graves, this thing comes on. It is upsetting - there's a lot of people put out about it."
The story has garnered national attention, becoming the butt of many jokes on social media - but John says it's not remotely funny for anyone living in the area, who are simply trying to grieve in peace.
"I'd like to thank WLR for highlighting it, because it is upsetting", said John. "Especially for the elderly people and people recently bereaved, like they have enough to go through besides when they want to go up to visit a loved one's grave and to be listening to that. It's just wrong. I've seen a few things on social media and some people seem to think it's a joke and they're making fun of it - but for anyone that's bereaved or has a loved one buried up there, including myself, it's not funny when you go up to visit a grave and you hear this thing blaring out all the time."
