Waterford's John Keane Returns to WLR as New Presenter of the Spin Home
Waterford's own John Keane is set to make a triumphant return to WLR as the station's newest presenter. With years of broadcasting experience under his belt, John’s appointment marks a significant moment for the station and its listeners.
Having previously graced the airwaves of WLR, John Keane's journey in broadcasting has taken him far and wide across the region, where he has presented programmes on various stations over the years. Now, he is poised to rekindle his connection with his roots and the listeners he knows so well.
John Keane will commence his role as presenter on April 1st, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for local Waterford content. The Spin Home 3-6pm with John Keane will be fast-moving, engaging, lots of fun, listener interaction and the best music on the airwaves.
Alongside his on-air duties, John will also serve as a station producer, contributing to programming and station projects, further enhancing WLR's commitment to delivering quality content for listeners across Waterford City and County.

More Changes
Several other changes are coming to WLR on April 1st. Gemma Delaney is WLR’s new presenter of the lunchtime programme. Gemma, renowned for her infectious energy and genuine connection with listeners, promises an entertaining, fun-filled, and content-driven show. Listeners can expect great craic, engaging discussions, and an interactive experience that reflects the vibrant spirit of Waterford.
In addition to these new programmes, WLR will unveil its latest ReelWorld jingle package. Filled with the feel-good energy for WLR’s Adult Contemporary listeners, this package will give the station a fresh new sound.
