The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance following the death of an Irish tourist in Thailand.
It is understood the 67-year-old Irish man was killed in a fall from a balcony at a luxury hotel in Pattaya in the early hours of Monday morning.
His body has been taken to a local hospital where it will be formally handed over to his family.
Thai police have launched an investigation into the man's death.
Pattaya is a popular beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand, 150 km southeast of the Thai capital Bangkok.
