There has been a major disruption to Irish Rail services from Waterford to Heuston Station.

The company says a tragic incident occured on the railway line between Sallins and Newbridge.

Buses are being arranged for Portarlington, Portlaoise and Athy to Heuston but there are delays in sourcing for volumes travelling.

No Intercity services are departing Heuston until further notice.
