Investment needed into cycling infrastructure in Waterford.

Cycling campaigners in Waterford are calling for major investment into cycling infrastructure as part of budget 2019.
The Waterford Cycling Campaign say they want to see more money put into safer cycling measures, including dedicated lanes on main roads as well as increased funding for rural greenway projects.
The National Cycle Policy Framework set a target of 10% of the population to be commuting by bike by 2020, but the group say that the lack of investment means that this figure sits at just 3%.
Chairman of the Waterford Green party and of the Waterford Cycling Campaign, Marc Ó Cathasaigh says they want to see major investment in the budget.
Marc says he’d like to see more students cycling to school.
