INMO urges nurses to accept Labour Court recommendations

The Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation (INMO) is to call on its members to accept the Labour Court’s recommendations subject to negotiations.
Members of the INMO strike committee gathered for a private meeting at 2pm this afternoon where they discussed the recommendations that saw three days of strike action postponed this week.
It is believed the proposals, which are wide-ranging, include pay increases of between 2.5% and 7%.
Members will be balloted on the proposals in the coming weeks.
The Nurses and Midwives Organisation will hold a series of briefings across the country in the next few weeks with a ballot taking place between March 11 and 25.
