
A walker was airlifted from the Comeragh Mountains in County Waterford yesterday after sustaining injuries near Mahon Falls.
The Waterford based Coastguard helicopter winched the walker on board before taking the casualty to University Hospital Waterford.

South Eastern Mountain Rescue, who were on a training weekend at the time were alerted by Gardai at 4.30pm.
They accompanied the rest of the group off the hill with everyone safely down by 6.00pm.
