If you fancy working on the railroad all the live-long day, Iarnród Éireann has just the job.
The national rail network is starting a recruitment drive today.
The company is welcoming applications from people of all walks of life and hopes to hire up to 80 drivers.
"We have a recruitment drive again for train drivers," said Barry Kenny, Communications Manager with Iarnród Éireann, "We're going to see service expansion over the coming years.
"We're investing in the DART, plus we're investing in the Cork commuter network, we're investing in new trains to deliver more services around the country and we're going to need more drivers to deliver that.
"It's a great opportunity not just for a job as a train driver, but for a career."
While there has been a change in terms of the people applying for these roles in recent years, the company is encouraging more women to consider applying.
"We have seen more women applying for driver roles," Barry continued, "Obviously, historically, railways were very male-dominated but we are seeing increased numbers [of women].
"A recent driver class was the first 50/50 class in terms of men and women and we would certainly encourage women to apply for these opportunities and, indeed, people from various backgrounds.
"We have people coming from all sorts of industries to join us."
