Human remains found during search for Jay Slater in Tenerife

Spanish rescue teams say they've found human remains in the area of Tenerife where British teenager Jay Slater went missing four weeks ago.

Authorities say the evidence strongly suggests they belong to the nineteen year-old from Lancashire.

He was last seen in the northern village of Masca after going to a music festival with his friends on June 17th.

The teenager had called friends and said that his phone battery was low. He intended on walking back the resort of Playa de las Americas.

The walk from his last-known location to his accommodation would have taken about 11 hours on foot.
