A planning application has been received for a housing development in Waterford City.

J&B Neville Limited are seeking to construct 25 dwellings in the Ballygunner area.

If approved, the development will be made up of fourteen three bed semi-detached and eleven two bed terraced houses.

Also included in the plans is a two storey creche.

The development will be accessed from an already existing road, as well as a new vehicular entrance from The Village access road.

The development will include public open space, fifty car parking spaces, cycle parking and all associated site works and infrastructure services.

The application is accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement, which aims to protect wildlife and vulnerable habitats.

A decision is due back by January 22nd 2025.
