96 adults in Waterford were accessing emergency accommodation in the last week in June.

It comes as the latest figures show that the number of homeless people in Ireland now exceeds 14 thousand.

291 adults in the South East were accessing emergency accommodation on the week ending June 30th 2024 - making up 3% of the country's total.

Waterford accounts for 33% of homeless adults in the South East, with 96 adults accessing emergency accommodation locally in June.

69 adults were registered as homeless in Wexford, with 43 in Kilkenny, 43 in Carlow and 40 in Tipperary.

89 children in the South East are homeless, with 49 families accessing emergency accommodation.
