The number of adults presenting as homeless in Waterford has risen by 23% – comparing July 2025 to July 2024.

Latest homelessness figures released by the Department of Housing show that 117 adults presented as homeless in County Waterford in July 2025 – compared to 95 a year prior, an increase of 22.

35.8% of all adults presenting as homeless in the South East are currently in Waterford. 326 adults in the region are currently homeless.

117 adults have presented to homeless services in Waterford, followed by 84 in Tipperary, 50 in Wexford, 40 in Kilkenny and 35 in Carlow.

53% of those people are aged between 25 and 44.

Nationwide, 11,044 people were registered as homeless as of July 2025.
