Appeal following pensioner hit and run in Waterford

Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run on a pensioner in Waterford city.
A 70-year-old woman pedestrian was struck by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene last Thursday afternoon at the Kingsmeadow Roundabout on the Cork Road.
The incident occurred at around 1 o’clock and the woman was removed to University Hospital Waterford with serious injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for any persons who may have witnessed this collision, or any persons who may have travelled the Cork Road at the time of the incident who would have dashcam footage, to contact them at Waterford GS on 051 -305300, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
