Gardaí are treating the stabbing of a man in Newbridge, Co Kildare last night as a hate crime.
The victim, who's in his 20s, was attacked while waiting on a train with his boyfriend at about 6.40pm.
He's being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Tallaght University Hospital.
A Garda investigation is ongoing however no arrests have been made at this stage.
LGBT Ireland says they received 40 calls to their helpline last year reporting incidents of hate crime.
