The Green Party leader has committed to seeking an update on the Waterford Airport business case from Transport Minister Eamon Ryan.

Roderic O'Gorman was speaking in Waterford last night, at an event in The Granville Hotel at which Marc O Cathasaigh was formally selected by the party to contest the next General Election.

Speaking to WLR, Minister O'Gorman said he held discussions on the Airport with Council and Chamber representatives in Waterford.

"The key thing everyone said is that we need an answer. No decision has been made yet but that decision needs to be taken," he said.
