A website offering easy access to local services is now available to people nationwide, including in Waterford.

Minister for Local Government and Planning, Peter Burke TD has launched Services.LocalGov.ie which provides information on the 1,100 services provided by local authorities across the country.

The local services website was developed by the Local Government Management Agency with support from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the County and City Management Association (CCMA).

The public can now access information on services such as housing, planning, business supports, parks and outdoor amenities, arts and culture, libraries, and much more all in one location.

Services.LocalGov.ie links to the websites of individual local authorities for easier access to local information, applications, and engagement.

The website provides a list of the services provided to the public as well as a pathway to access those services locally. The information is provided in both the Irish and English languages.

Minister Peter Burke said:

I am delighted to launch Services.LocalGov.ie and am proud of my department’s role in developing the website. Members of the public who use public services should expect to access information about those services in a clear, accessible and convenient manner.
